The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center in Spokane, Washington is seeking an emergency veterinarian to join our busy emergency medicine department. The emergency medicine department is currently staffed by six experienced emergency veterinarians and fully trained support staff (licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel attendants, and a full reception core.) The emergency department hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – weekends and holidays included.
We work closely with the referring daytime veterinarians in our community. Specialists housed in the building during weekday daytime hours include one internal medicine specialist, three surgeons (Veterinary Surgical Specialists, www.vssspokane.com), and one radiologist (Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging, www.ievetimaging.com). There is a part-time dermatologist available every other week (Dermatology for Animals, www.dermatologyforanimals.com), and an extension of Washington State University offers veterinary ophthalmologists and a veterinary dentist located just a few minutes from our clinic. The emergency department has a complete in-house diagnostic lab, digital radiography, and ultrasound.
Access to specialist ultrasound, CT, and flexible/rigid endoscopy is available on weekdays. The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center is located within a brand new facility that won the 2017 VetEcon/360 Design Award for Specialty Hospital of the Year. We are looking for an individual who works well with others, is motivated to help build our practice further, and who can help to cultivate positive relationships with our referring community. We value work-life balance and a positive work environment. We are looking for a full-time associate but will consider part-time candidates with availability to eventually move to full-time. Veterinary and Kennel Assistant
The Pet Emergency Clinic in Spokane, WA is looking for Veterinary and Kennel Assistants to join our fast-paced environment. We are currently looking to fill both night and graveyard shift positions. A pay differential is offered for staff working midnight to 8:30 am and for staff that work on designated Holidays. We are a team that values compassion, quality medicine, a positive working environment, and opportunities to learn. Veterinary and Kennel Assistants support the Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Doctors by helping to provide high-quality care in a safe environment for our patients and clients. The emergency clinic is open 24 hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This position requires working overnight shifts including weekends and holidays. Wages depend on experience. Veterinary Receptionist/Front Office Staff
CURRENT VETERINARY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
We need to expand our team with 2-3 experienced receptionists. We are looking for candidates that can work well with our team and are interested in growing with our clinic and having a long-term career with opportunities to advance. If you have experienced, and the desire to learn and gain knowledge from working in an emergency clinic setting, this is the opportunity for you. You must be able to work weekends, holidays, and be flexible to work a variety of shifts including overnight reception. - Balancing daily ledger
- Filling prescriptions (after additional training and a Veterinarian Medical Clerk License is obtained from the State of Washington.)
- Presenting estimates to clients
Experience:

Our emergency medicine department is currently staffed by nine experienced emergency veterinarians and an abundance of fully trained support staff (licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel attendants, and a full reception core.) The emergency department is open 24/7/365. We work closely with and highly value our referring general practice veterinarians in the community.
Several specialty services are housed in the hospital during daytime hours Monday through Friday and include internal medicine, oncology, emergency & critical care, surgery (Veterinary Surgical Specialists, www.vssspokane.com), and radiology (Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging).
